MY OPINION AND ANSWER TO TOPIC 5:
Truman’s disobedience is good because everything around him even his family was fake. His whole life was made into a show and was controlled by a man named Cristoff. Cristoff felt that the place he made for Truman is where Truman should be. He felt no other people but the place he built for Truman was the best. When Truman found out that his life was being taped all his life, he started to disobey the laws and rules of his society and try to escape the fake world he has been living in. An individual like Truman have the moral obligation to break from rules and societal duties that he does not consider right or interfere with his desires because Truman is an adult who have certain choices to make that will only make him happy. Even if it means breaking the laws or rules of his society.
My experience with breaking the law was when I was a junior in high school and my best friend had gotten jump in Manhattan by a group of girls. I was so mad that we went back out there and I just blacked out. My loyalty to my friend means a lot to me. A man grabbed my best friend and the next thing I know I punched the man in the face, not knowing he was an under cop I was so embarrassed and I know that I have broken a big rule in the society of Manhattan. I had to deal with the consequences and also know that my desires to be loyalty to my friends or anybody that love and care for can cause a sever punishment and also cause your freedom because disobeying the law or rules of your society is like taking your freedom down a road of a lot of consequences. Being able to go after you desire can cause many problems but not if you think before acting.
